Tequila Mama - Suwanee

Tequila Mama is a located at the Suwanee Town Center in growing downtown Suwanee. It’s close to the brand new DeLay Nature Park, so it’s a great place to stop in for a bite to eat after enjoying the outdoors. Our server, Elsa, was magnificent, attentive and genuinely a pleasure. Being a decent human being is free and she is nothing short of greatness. We had one in our party with allergies. The way she listened closely and made 1000% sure to accommodate this allergy with the staff and kitchen was very much appreciated. The food begins like a typical Mexican restaurant with the chips and salsa. There are many mashup items like Korean Bulgogi tacos or Jerk Chicken bowls. There’s items like chicken tenders for the littles or traditional items like nachos, burritos, and tacos. I ordered the veggie bowl. It came with cilantro rice and fried avocados. The mango sauce on it was delicious. I would definitely order it again. If you are looking for something light, this is a very good dish.

I think this place was great. I'll go back. I wasn't sure about some of the ingredient lists, meaning I didn't immediately know what to pick because there was always something I didn't like in the description, but in the end I got this bowl and it was super good. Yeah I liked it in there. I'll have to try the beer or margaritas and rate them next time.

Wow, Jordan was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in, he made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. The food was delicious, and the drinks were even better! A huge thank you to Jordan for providing such fantastic service. You’ve definitely made a returning customer out of me, and I’ll always be requesting JORDAN!

We had great hopes for this place. Ambiance is great, outside seating is perfect if the weather is nice. The nachos and guac was great. What prompted me to give a 3 star rating is the lack of service. We went on a great spring day and weather was perfect. Understandably, there were lot of customers which meant order was going to take longer. Again, quite understandable. What was not acceptable is that the waiter did not come to tell us about the delay. After waiting for an hour, we went to the reception to ask that our food be packed to-go since it has been too long waiting. I could not judge if the food was good since I ate it later in the day when it was already soggy. All they had to do was to let us know that there is delay, and maybe offer free nachos or something while we waited for the food etc., but none of that happened.

Food is delicious. Plenty of parking can be limited at times if you are trying to park exact Lu near the restaurant. Dine in or take out. No drive through. TVs to watch sports. Bar available. Delivery service will have to go inside to pickup. Prices vary. Vegan options available.

I stopped by Tequila Mama Taqueria during a lively jazz fest in the center square, which definitely added to the atmosphere. I ordered the shrimp fajitas and a frozen margarita from the bar. The shrimp seasoning could’ve used a bit more punch, but the portions were generous and served hot, which was a big plus. The margarita, on the other hand, was excellent—perfectly blended and refreshing. Service at the bar was a little slow, likely due to the crowd from the event, but the staff was friendly and they do offer a military discount, which I really appreciate. All in all, it was a great experience. Good vibes, tasty drinks, and a solid meal. I’d definitely come back.

My family visited early on a Saturday afternoon; we had only a short wait for a party of 6. Service was good, food was delicious. We ordered the Korean Krack fries - interesting twist with a sweet BBQ sauce and enough to share. The tacos, bulgogi bowl and other dishes were good. The atmosphere included good music and interesting designs to view while waiting for food.

Tequila Mama Taqueria is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the vibrant atmosphere and unique multi-cultural menu. The concept of blending flavors from Mexican, Asian, Latin American, and American cuisines into a fun and funky dining experience is truly one-of-a-kind. The food was fresh, flavorful, and made from scratch in small batches—just as promised. Every bite reflected quality and creativity. The drinks were just as fantastic, perfectly complementing the delicious dishes. A special shoutout to my server, Isabella F., who provided outstanding service. She was attentive, friendly, and made the experience even more enjoyable. Because of her and the incredible food, I will definitely be back! Highly recommend Tequila Mama to anyone looking for a unique and delicious dining experience in Suwanee.
